When designing the second level, the client strictly prohibited the use of glass. Therefore, the staircase parapet and railing were made of solid metal structures. As a result, we achieved a visually light yet robust combination of veneer and metal within a floating construction.
The interior palette and ergonomic approach are rooted in natural materials—stone and wood—with organic motifs throughout. The apartment serves as a mental oasis, offering an escape from the city’s fast pace. For example, there is no TV or multimedia in the bedroom, reinforcing the space’s purpose for rest and relaxation.
Additionally, this project incorporates a Smart Home system that is deeply integrated into all elements of the interior. It features scene-based control of lighting, climate, security, and daily comfort. The entire apartment is equipped with temperature, humidity, motion, and lighting sensors, allowing the server-based system to automatically adjust fresh air intake, natural light levels, and the heating and cooling systems making it on a "cyber-butler" manner.
To support this technology, we provided two server cabinets, discreetly hidden from view.
